Friendly Meeting Between US and Cambodia Navy Staff

US-Cambodian friendship was illustrated by a high level naval meeting yesterday in Sihanoukville.

Preah Sihanouk Province, Cambodia News: On Wednesday morning, 16 January 2019, HE Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Navy and navy commander welcomed a delegation of eight senior US defense officials.

The US team was led by Dr. Joseph Felter, American Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense in charge of South and Southeast Asia.

According to Cambodian navy officials, the meeting focused on friendship between the two countries.

And the US delegation doesn't appear to be Navy. I know Jarheads have piping on their pants but I think it's red. I think these guys are Army.

Not only that but no formal agreements like treaties, memorandoms of understanding or announcements of follow-up gatherings mentioned. A good but fruitless time was had by all. I'm sure China approves of the sterile gathering.

Well spotted, they are wearing class "B" army service uniform, officers have that "gold" stripe on the pants.

It's the face of officials listening to blah blah once again. The US guys are all looking at their very important notes on the meeting/texting a message to their wives.
