Illegal Chinese Cigarette Factories Discovered in Takmao Guesthouses

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Kandal, Cambodia News: On January 15, 2019, Cambodian police working with Chinese police cracked down on a group of Chinese criminals involved with economic crime, when they raided three places producing fake cigarettes in Takmao city, Kandal. 10 Chinese men were arrested and the others ran away to escape.

The immigration police reported that before the crackdown the police received a report on illegal cigarette manufacturing taking place in Takhmao and they searched 3 targets: Monorum guesthouse, Teth Hou Guesthouse and Chea Somnang guesthouse in Takmao city. There, the police discovered that Chinese nationals had constructed mini-factories producing fake brand Chunghwa cigarettes. The police found and seized the cigarette producing machines and all other materials.

That's quite an impressive operation as far as printing goes, I don't really know that brand but figured they are a premium brand in China. They didn't show any of the actual product, cigarettes. I wonder how they are produced?
