I'm looking for something that's on par with Banff, Monteverde, Yosemite, Torres Del Paine, Gorges du Verdon, Alps... You get the drift. A place that's truly breathtaking. Nothing like Bokor "mountain".

I didn't mean to belittle you by dismissing bokor mountain. Please accept my most sincere apologies if I offended you... The picture you posted is beautiful, but that's any given day during spring, summer, or fall in Socal. I was expecting more from Cambodia tbh. Never trust what you see on Google Images I guess...
That's not Bokor mate.
There's more to Cambodia than Kampot.

Word brotha... I just used bokor as an example. The same thing applies to Cardamom mountain, Koh Rong, Battambang, and a lot of places throughout Cambodia. They're really not that impressive. Add the trash collection issues, deforestation, and an almost nonexistent wildlife, and what you have is a not so happy camper!
Cambodia reminds me of Haiti in a lot of ways.. For example, Haitians destroyed their own land to put food on the table (and to finance the local "Okhnas" weekend trips to Miami). Now the country is a tree-less dump. The place is still charming, but I'd rather fly to St Maarten or just cross the border to the Dominican Republic.

- The feeling -> Something about the madness of the city makes you feel more alive
- Access to medicine -> Can't just walk in and get medicine, need to pay doctor first. Bothers me when I know what's wrong (i.e. strep throat)

yeah feeling this,

theres not much i miss about England when im in Asia, rarely crosses my mind,

i do miss is the big supermarkets like ASDA/Tesco, and their prices in the UK especially the Alcohol prices
the music scene in Cambodia sucks compared to the UK where theres decent gigs and festivals on all the time, so i do miss that too,
the boxing scene in Cambodia sucks, not enough decent actual boxing clubs, all stupidly overpriced, the old Paddies was the best but closed about 3-4 years ago now, one reason ive spent more time in Thailand lately, in Thailand it is actually half the price of Cambodia to train, in England it costs half the price of Thailand
and sometimes i do miss working back home on the building sites avin a crack with the lads
