1 AUD=22 THB the lowest in 10 years

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

1 AUD=22 THB the lowest in 10 years

Post by Beerinthemorning »

Decade low aussie dollar is trading at 67 cents USD

Baht at only 22.39...

Going down real fast no sign of improvement.

Weekly working hours increasing, wages growth stagnant, and currency devaluating.

Looks like OZ is going turd world after all.

I can't afford to live decently in the USA either without working a full time job Until I die. I am trying Cambodia because, at least right now, their visas look a lot easier for me. I don't want to do all those border runs in Thailand.

I bought a pineapple in Coles supermarker for 50 cents last week so I think you can add pineapples to the list.

Pineapples are now 10 baht in phuket US$.30
Bread, depends on what kind but 22 baht- 60 baht ( for a fresh baked loaf of sourdough)

Since when does; Red meat, beer, wine, name brand shoes qualify as basic items??
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

50 cents Australian is US$.35, but because Australian supermarkets have self-service cash registers, you can 'buy' 5 pineapples and only scan 4. This reduces the overall cost to 40 cents Australian or US$.28 each which actually makes them cheaper than in Phuket.
