Re: The Problem With Chinese Tourists...
if its anything like the Chinese here, they use their Chinese bank atm cards for everythingcambo swa wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 7:29 am In the Chinese "owned" establishments do they allow the Chinese tourists to use the yuan? What about the SHV casinos? Seems that with the mutual love between the US and China that using the US $ probably does not sit well with many Chinese. Although the yuan value to $ is now the highest in 2 years.
If not now, it will probably not be too long then we will all have to use the yuan in Cambodia.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Fuck it, if you can't beat'em, join'em.
I'm going to open up a jumbo shrimp buffet and score some roaring trade off these Chinese tourists.
They looooove the jumbo shrimp, you know:

Fook me. They haven't learned to queue up at the airport and certainly not at this buffet either!Brody wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 9:06 am Fuck it, if you can't beat'em, join'em.

Re: The Problem With Chinese Tourists...
My parents are sadly typical of this characteristic.
They go only on Chinese tours, not zero dollar ones. They want to follow the tour guide flag starting from getting on the airplane at beginning to getting off the airplane at the end. They relish the fact that they get a sanitized foreign experience wrapped inside Chinese rice. Wake up early to go places. Leave the Chinese cocoon mobile, go en masses for pictures, then move on to the next site. Finish the day late in the evening after having gone to an impossible number of places. Eat Chinese, sleep Chinese. Nice and safe. Like watching a travel show at home.
Going to the wedding, starting with boarding the plane without a chaperone, was completely outside the beaten path of their tour group experience. It took a ton of convincing them that they wouldn’t get sick from the local food, robbed by the locals, etc.
Outside of the next Chinese tour bus to temple town, I doubt they will ever return.
Of course they keep insisting that missus visit them ASAP.

Can I pay you to stop using the word "missus". Will that do it? It's effing annoying. Seriously.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 9:54 am Of course they keep insisting that missus visit them ASAP.
