Ukranian TYMUR DMYTRIYENKO From Bouchon Wine Bar Robbed & Killed in Motorbike Accident

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Yes he managed the outside. He was soft spoken, polite and attentive.

What time did Bouchon close on NYE? Is it possible that he was on the way home from work?

a very nice and tiny Aussie lady was knocked off her moto here in Kampot just before Christmas and robbed...a few blocks from the Provincial Police HQ.
she was lucky to only sustain minor injuries...
She was heading back to Australia and lost her traveling money.
motos are very dangerous in many ways.

My thoughts and prayers for him and his family!

But this is one of the many things that happens here.. And people still keep talking good about this country! So they robbed a dead person.. And they talk about it like it is a rare incident! And they think: "don't even talk at all about it!" And the newspapers are not allowed to report too much on it, that could lead to all different kind of things if you talk too "bad"

They can find these people for sure! There is always some rat staring at every street corner they all know who the robbers in Daun Penh are but nothing is done to clean up the streets in Daun Penh. Absolutely NOTHING! Just take a walk around Daun Penh in the late evening and visit these allies they are infested with the most horrible people. (not talking about the homeless victims) Also you will see a lot of robbers on motorbikes staring and searching for prey.
They share commissions with the street dealers. and the street dealers share their commission to the police. it is all a big pot of nasty dirty stuff and they don't mind the type of crime. also steal parts of cars only from certain people.. but everthing discussed with the rats and so on. all paid their share to street meth dealers. There are eyes and "staff" on the streets 24 hours in Daun Penh. Those guys hanging and sitting around all know exactly what is going on in those streets!
Why I know this. I have lived there for years and studied it from a dark balcony and have local friends who told and confirmed me all these things. It is absolutely disguisting!
Even higher government personal from the other side of the city have told me that Daun Penh is a separate "play garden" with different owners!

If only these animals tried this in Ukraine. Lets see what would have happend to this scum.

Ofcourse not all people are monsters here but a lot of them are! They have zero respect for us outsiders. They even enjoy see us have misery. I have seen so many examples of them laughing at horrible incidents and facebook accidents. For example an accident where legs and guts were on the road they thought it was funny. Real disguisting people with absolutely a total different way of thinking!

Ofcourse not all of them! I have met many super polite and friendly good hearted people the people who make this country have a good name. But I have also met the worst of the worst! And I can tell you in my country there are so really horrible people but the things that I have seen here are way worse because here they do it with such an extreme untouchable arrogance. They know they get away with everything and they know they won't have any issues in prison that they killed a foreiger most of the time they never get convicted anyway.

Yup,, It's so dangerous out there but you forgot to mention the snakes, crocodiles, spiders and monsters that will kill you and eat you.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

According to people close to Timur, he died from a motorcycle accident. So please no conspiracy theories about evil Khmers who killed him. There were some rumors going around on social media, but that is the nature of Facebook gossip and speculation.
Timur's cremation was being held today in Phnom Penh. RIP.
