Best TESOL course for teaching children
Re: Best TESOL course for teaching children
Great post Simon.
CEO's pretty good this way. A thread will usually get the complete gamut of posts, ranging from the caustic, ill-informed, pessimistic, to the highly useful and informed.
I'd like to add too that I recently saw that ACE is offering their CELTA course in Phnom Penh now. Before I think it was only offered in Siem Reap.
Cheers to you bittermelon for desiring to increase your skill set and not just washing up and asking the typical "Can I teach here with no degree, qualifications or experience.
Your future students will benefit from your professional integrity.

With a B.A. in English the Celta should/could be a relatively straight forward course. I would definitely recommend a CELTA over a Thai style TEFL. A Celta is recognized globally, a TEFL not so much.bittermelon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 7:27 am Have been looking into doing a four week course. The Celta course seems to be the most highly regarded, but is mainly concerned with teaching adults and most of the available jobs are for teaching children. Can anyone recommend a course, not necessarily in Cambodia, that is well regarded, but more concerned with teaching children? It may be that the Celta, due to the effort required in completing it, is still the best one to get as far as employment goes but I am interested in hearing what past and present teachers have to say. F.W.I.W I do have a B.A in English (as a redneck farmer who gave me a ride while hitch-hiking a while back called it- "a bugger-all in bugger-all").
