Three Foreigners Arrested for Bashing German Outside Siem Reap Bar

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Thanks
1) A fine or (depending how drunk you are) a couple of weeks in a cell/Prey Sar.
2) It’s not about what you’ve done but how much money/influence - read contacts - you have.

If you’re really asking about the consequences of carrying a knife in Cambodia (or any country) you need to think about priorities. You’ve more chance of being robbed in London.

This. What the hell are you going to do with a kid's blade in a country where people carry guns and Samurai swords?

Interesting, thanks. That's a lot. Does your partner know what precipitated the fight?

I'm skeptical that the three knuckleheads pictured in the photo have $150 each, much less $15,000.
She is not sure of specific reason of this occasion, but says she is aware they have feuded a long time.

LOL, I remember having the same discussion with Sailorman a few years ago! Anyone that feels the need to carry a weapon with them always, really should just never leave the safety of their own home imo.

If you want to/think you need to carry a knife for "self protection" then you need to train and know how to use it. If you don't then you are just providing your opponent with a weapon and maybe the reason to use it on you.

Like carrying a gun, if you are not going to use it .... don't carry it. =@

Train? Know how to use it? It's a fucking knife. You stab, in a stabby thrusting motion.

Thank you for that. Same with a gun, you simply pull the trigger. And do. malt try to tell me when or when not to use it. Just keep on watching those movies and keep your expertise to yourself on this one. Happy New Year.
