An old barang wearing a karma (or is it a scarf?) got angry with the staff at Maybank on St. 63 in BKK1. It think it was because the ATM ran out of money. The cops came and arrested the barang.

lol there's a second Maybank ATM only a couple of blocks from there, if it was that important.

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia news : An incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, December 26, 2018, Khan Chamkar Morn, Phnom Penh, when a foreign man got mad at the Maybank headquarters ATM in BKK1.
It is reported that the man became loud and angry because the machine wasn't working, and he went into the bank where he used violence against the staff, who then called the police. The police arrived quickly at the scene and took the foreigner to the BKK1 police station for questioning.

Is it because he put his card in, requested money, machine didn’t spit out money but then claimed it did? Or issued an ‘insufficient funds’ message and spit out his card and cancelled the transaction?

If it’s the former, I’d be pretty angry.

Probably would have made no difference. I have had a account at Maybank for about 3 years and many, many times the link from their ATM is '' broken '' please wait 30 minutes, according to their staff, so have only been able to withdraw over the counter.

I cancelled my account with them 2 weeks ago.

Never had any problems in Aeon Mall only 2 times not working in orrussey and 184. I think they are quite good.
