Man Arrested for Faked Video of Chinese Fighting
Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: Police arrested 28-year-old Eang Hum, 28, from Tang Ngou Village, Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh, on December 15, 2018, for causing confusion by posting a faked video of a group of armed Chinese men on Facebook. The suspect has been arrested and questioned by the Anti-Tech Crime Department, on the orders of Gen. Neth Savoeun, commander of the National Police.
The police spokesperson confirmed that the video posted on social network was not the original video. According to a review by a team of specialists, this video has been manipulated with the intention of poisoning the social environment and causing confusion. As a result, the police were ordered to find the man responsible for the video and arrest him. He remains in detention for questioning.

Re: Man Arrested for Faked Video of Chinese Fighting
Here is the official version of events from the KT, 16 December 2018:
Man nabbed over fake clip showing Chinese groups fighting in Phnom Penh
National police officers on Saturday arrested a man who recently posted a fake video clip on Facebook showing two groups of Chinese nationals fighting with each other using samurai swords in Phnom Penh, allegedly aimed at confusing people to cause public disorder.
General Chhay Sinarith, National Police deputy chief, yesterday identified the suspect as Ing Hum, 28, and said that police traced him after analysing the video and questioning people who re-posted it on Facebook.
“Yesterday, we searched and found him in Phnom Penh,” Gen Sinarith said. “We arrested him in Chbar Ampov district’s Niroth commune.”
He said that the suspect produced the fake video so that he could garner many likes and re-posts.
“His post impacted public order and society too,” Gen Sinarith said. “We stopped his activity on time before it could seriously impact public order.”
He urged the public not to post misinformation that affects public order and society.
The arrest came after Gen Neth Savoeun, National Police Commissioner, ordered an investigation into the person behind the fake video which was posted to cause public disorder and discredit the government.
The National Police Commissariat completely denied that the events in the video clip actually took place.
Lieutenant General Chea Pov, Interior Ministry anti-cybercrime department director, could not be reached for comment yesterday, while his deputy Som Sinin declined to comment.
Lieutenant General Chhay Kim Khoeun, National Police spokesman also could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Re: Man Arrested for Faked Video of Chinese Fighting
I wish they would arrest the guys that make all those other Chinese fake videos of kung-poo fighting with dragons that breath fire and Chinese fighters that throw fire from their fingertips.
Come to think of it, they should also arrest the producer of that fake video on the Titanic sinking for the second and third time.
