A Nigerian & An American Arrested for Visa Overstay

Post by prahocalypse now »

The American David Waine Anthony Bowen, 41, and the Nigerian Tomas Szsankara Esua, 34, got arrested for overstaying their visas.

The American, who was living near Central Market in Daun Penh, is unemployed, has an unusual mental status, and is in need of a haircut. He does however have nice shoes.

The Nigerian wears socks with flip-flops.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On December 04, 2018, at 1 pm, the Immigration Department at Phnom Penh received two foreigners who were picked up by police for staying in Cambodia illegally.

A 34-year-old Nigerian man, Tomas Szsankara Esua was detained after a stay at Phnom Penh's Russian hospital revealed his illegal status. After questioning, the Nigerian man said that he came to Cambodia on September 2014, through Phnom Penh International Airport. The visa on his passport had expired since January 08, 2016 and he is homeless and without a job.

A 41-year-old American man, David Waine Anthony Bowen, who has a mental illness, was detained at Sangkat Psar Thmei 3, for living in Cambodia without a valid visa. After questioning, the American man said he arrived in Cambodia on November 18, 2016, through Phnom Penh International Airport. He was living at a house in street 43, Sangkat Psar Thmei3, but he has no job.

Are those colored band aids on his arms or something else? And is that a swollen left foot or are his shoes just too small?

If they were both picked up by police at the hospital for no money, no visa, that would explain a few things.

What? What does it explain? And why do you think Bowen may have been picked up at a hospital?

Total speculation based on the cuts on one arm and the krama bandage on the other.
