Battambang, Cambodia News: From December 02 to 04, 2018, for reasons unknown, a total of 37 students passed out at Sampov Lun high school in Sampov Lun district, Battambang. The victims were sent to the district hospital.

Faintings plague Thmar Koul school
12 December 2018
Nearly 20 students in Thmar Koul High School in Battambang province fainted yesterday following last week’s fainting incidents.

On December 6, two students fainted and were sent to hospital. The next day, 71 students fainted, prompting the provincial education and health departments to educate students on how to avoid fainting during class.

Ouk Vithyea, deputy director of the provincial health department, was quoted on December 9 saying that the students were exhausted.

“We found that the students had used lots of stamina during their lesson because they were studying from morning until about 8pm,” Mr Vithyea said at the time. “The drain caused their health to be weak.”

Dieng Mak, chief of Tameun commune, yesterday said students began fainting at about 9am. Mr Mak said about 20 students were immediately sent to hospital.

“They are fine now after authorities rushed to send them to hospital,” he said, noting that prior to the latest incident, about 1,360 students had attended a meet with officials on how to avoid fainting during class.

Mr Mak said parents are now concerned about their children.

Well that's a new idea. Fill in those bloody drains cause you cannot blame the trees anymore for using all the oxygen.

Students have also been fainting at a school in Kandal province.

High-schoolers pass out
15 December 2018
More than 20 students of Koh Thom High School in Kandal province suffered dizziness and temporary loss of consciousness, and were sent to hospital for medical treatment.

According to the National Police, Koh Thom’s District Police Chief Sim Kheang reported that the students were sent to district hospital, and the relevant authorities are investigating the cause of the faintings.

The police suspect tainted food as the cause, but will have no definitive answer until the doctors have finished their examinations.

Who else thinks at least 50% of these cases of fainting were inspired by the kids' reading or hearing other fainting stories and the time off school it provides?

Yes of course, they mentioned in another article that shortly before mysterious faintings the students were educated about how to prevent fainting.

As usual most seizures can be cured with money.
