Officials Plunder Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary
Mondul Kiri: The protectors of the forest, officials at the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, are reported to be implicated in forest crimes there, with armies of motorbikes being employed to bring out the illegally logged wood from the protected area. Locals say that dozens of motorbikes are transporting wood out of the wildlife sanctuary every day.
Informal sources have suggested that military officers of the 3rd Brigade, Defense Forces Command 204 Kratie, commanded by an officer named Tong, is behind the recent deforestation at the site of Sre Chhouk commune, Keo Seima district, Mondul Kiri province.
This set of photos taken by Kosantepheap News shows a group of 30 motorbikes at work on 25 November 2018, removing the protected forest in the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, one motorbike at a time...

Photoshop-ed photos and fake news. We all know deforestation in Cambodia has stopped.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Haven't been up there for a few years but back then we came across lots of snares purportedly put out at the behest of the guy charged with protecting the wildlife.

With all the wood that has been confiscated over the last year I would imagine that there is enough to make 20 or 30 schools .

Holy shit. Some huge pieces of wood there. Worth a fortune at the final destination. But only a few dollars for those felling the trees and transporting it.

That car either has solid rear suspension or beefed up shock absorbers. It’s not even sagging.
Those bikes must have at least a tonne on the back.
