Banlung, Cambodia News: For the first time in Rattanakiri province, the provincial administration organized a boat racing event on Boeung Kanseng in Banlung that took place over two days, November 17-18, 2018, beginning with a ceremony for the Governor on the morning of the 17th.

Stung Treng Province, Cambodia News: Yesterday, the Governor of Stung Treng opened a three-day boat festival, held on November 18,19, 20, 2018, in the Se Kong river at Stung Treng town.

On the first day of the boat racing event, a local group of indigenous people were able to have a prayer ceremony for the spirits, with candles, flowers and dancing, to bring happiness and prosperity to all the participants and the spectators at the festival.

This is the second time the Stung Treng Provincial Administration has organized a boat festival, and boats have come from all over the province. Each boat has been beautifully decorated with much pride by the village of origin.More than twenty boats are expected to participate in the races.

On the evening of November 20, 2018, His Excellency Min Mi Ming, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, presided over the closing ceremony of the water festival at Wat Noun Nop, in Prey Nop commune, Prey Nob district, Sihanoukville.
This is the second year that a festival has been held here and twenty-one boats took part.
