Thailand is not cheap

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Ok so the Baht is strong, and Thai prices have risen over the years. But if you want cheaper you need to try cheaper countries.

I think it's rocket science :dm:

A tourist will pay 120 baht for a small bottle of beer at Herrity's on Suk 33/1 or 180 baht for a Black Label. Or 300-400 baht for a 16 oz/470 ml craft beer at Wishbeer on Suk 62 or Craft Beer on soi 23. Or at W District, a big Tiger is 100 baht and BL 150 baht.

So yeah, Thailand is expensive for a tourist.

Here in Vietnam, that 45 baht for a 7-11 San Miguel is 30 baht in a bar.
the two week millionaires will still keep coming even as BKK overtakes singapore prices just without the cleanliness and prestige.

who really gives a shit what Trapper says?
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

yeh but thailand is the capital of SEA , it has most conveniences at the front door.

Philipines is cheap, sure....., but its also dangerous, off the beaten path and the food is terrible.

Vietnam is cheap but the local male population arent gonna let you pick up there females like in thailand.

Indonesia is quite boring and as the worlds largest muslim populpus isnt exactly the best spot for a two week pissup.

Malaysia is nice but also quite boring because the alcohol taxs and strict government.

Loas is too sleepy plus it seems to be full of weird druggies, backpackers and interpols most wanted.

Cambodia now in the hands of the chinese isnt getting cheaper and has overtaken thailand in costs for basic day to day items however the beer and ciggarettes remain quite cheap.

Nor will the Thai population if we are talking about regular women, not hookers. But agreed, the Vietnamese women are quite discerning and probably are not waiting for a cheap-ass pineapple to come to their rescue....

Yep. :2girlsit8: It's always the same thing anyway. Complaining. About whatever.
I'd feel sorry for him, but he's too annoying.

What?

I must respectfully disagree. Personal experience says otherwise.

Well as one of the younger well travelled members of the Forum i woukd say its my human right to complain about the B/S in SEA whilst the others either have no idea about the region or just choose ignorance.
