Pictures of Barang Beaten Outside Intoxica Bar on Street 130, Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

If he did then he would see that you started the entire idiotic segue with this infantile comment.

My point was - in my opinion he got off lightly. King Kiel was the one who made an issue of it. I could just as easily added that the bouncers in most places in the world will kick the shit out of you if you manhandle the female staff.Particularly if you punch one on the nose. It wasn't meant to be an "Australiancentric" comment. Just a statement of fact.
That's my last word on this thread, I'm sick of being trolled by a bunch of idiots who haven't read the entire thread, or, if they have, are severely lacking in even the most basic English comprehension skills.

Some bar girls have told their side of the story:

"Life is too important to take seriously."

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."

Whatever you think about the whole scenario that last post was amazing.

if somebody comes at me with a bottle I will hit him with a truncheon if i have one no problem

how do you know this is not what happened?

only explanation for assuming the guy did nothing wrong without knowing facts would be racism imho
Does that look like self defense to you? He's laying on the ground outside the bar. But you're right we should wait for the facts as far as I'm concerned he was struck by lightning. You never know until you have all the facts.
there are degrees of self-defence? some guys attack you, for example and youre only allowed to block punches? we're expecting a gentlemans code of conduct now, in bars, in cambodia? start crap in a bar, crap happens

however i do admit that there may have been an attempt to rip him off in which case he's entitled to be angry but abusing waitstaff is kind of stupid

perhaps when we know we can make an informed judgment?
