Vegan restaurants

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Simple Things
in Kampot

It is popular with many people, not just vegans, as the food is so good.

I've heard good things about Vibe, though I always find vegan restaurants expensive for what you're getting. Unless I get a ton of walnuts or something, I don't see how hummus and flat bread can cost $8. I'm just generalizing though, as I don't know what things first at Vibe.

I have not been to Kampot for over a year. There was a lady selling good vegan/vegetarian food in the market. I dont know if she is still there. Her shop was approx 20 meters from the north end, and approx 20 meters from the west end of the market. Ask in the market. Most people in the market dont speak English. If she is still there she has very good food.

You could go to the shop in the market for breakfast, then Simple Things for lunch, and evening meal.

In Phnom Penh you can go to the Backyard Cafe. They have very good food, but as mentioned you may leave feeling hungry. Try it out and decide for yourself.

In Cambodia, there is only a small number of health conscious people, and only a small number of health focused restaurants. In some places, you may need to order a meal you want from a regular restaurant.
