Nobody knows whether you will be able to get it exchanged or not.

I would try the banks which do a lot of currency exchange, such as Canadia, ANZ and Maybank.

You will need small notes such as $10 and $20 anyway. Just go into a bank and ask if they will change it for $10s and $20s. If one wont exchange it try another.

When I get $100 notes from an ATM, I go straight into the bank and change them for smaller notes. This is free.

A decade ago, money changers wouldn't exchange 1996 100$ bills. Real or not, the rumor was that fake bills were being circulated. I'd think a bank would be your best choice for exchanging.
