Places to avoid the Chinese tourist bus hordes
Just wanted to start off a thread about guesthouses or hotels that are not overrun by the tourist buses
My shout out is to the Asian Urban Teahouse. Many wonderful teas to try, even has tea sets with snacks. Good service, good food. Comfy couches. Very clean room with pillow top mattress. The lone Chinese there spoke in a French accent.

They’ll be talking about you behind your back.
My mate stayed there and the receptionist (male) congratulated him on bringing home two women. It was his wife and her 13yo niece.
He didn’t return.

Sorry to hear your mate was treated poorly. Didn’t have that issue.bangkokhooker wrote:They’ll be talking about you behind your back.

Next shout out is Sun and Moon. Clean modern chic. Has tiles that don’t slip when wet. Great service and good breakfast. Big pillows.
The clincher. Nice PRC man forgot his keycard and couldn’t activate the elevator. He started cursing loudly in Chinese. Hotel staff member told him, we don’t speak Chinese here.
