Jobs for poor Cambodians

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

Jobs for poor Cambodians

Post by explorer »

I was recently in a town where there are a lot of poor people. They will tell you cant get a job.

The management of the guest house changed, and they were looking for staff.

I asked a friend who had lived there for years, who would he recommend for a job. He said they are all lazy, and he would not recommend anyone, as it would give him a bad reputation.

I asked two people I knew anyway. These are both people with loans from micro-finance institutions.

They did not want the jobs. They did not want to be committed to being at work every day.
## I thought I knew all the answers, but they changed all the questions. ##

Look at the other end of the stick,,,, there is no point. It's the plain blunt end , and he has made his statement of what he thinks and I agree with it.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Still better than staying at home and whining about $0/day.
