Free Bus Services Over Pchum Ben

City Hall to provide free bus rides for Pchum Ben
City Hall said on Wednesday that it has readied more than 200 buses offering free rides from the capital to 17 provinces across the Kingdom for Pchum Ben.

A City Hall statement said that Prime Minister HE instructed it to provide free bus rides as a service to armed forces servicemen, civil servants, workers and the general public.

It noted that people can travel for free from Phnom Penh to provinces along National Roads 1 to 8.

City Hall said it will use 95 city buses to serve the public in Phnom Penh and 120 buses for travel to the provinces, noting that the free service will run from Monday to Wednesday.

The statement also said round-trip bus services to provinces for the Pchum Ben holiday will be available from Saturday to Thursday and the buses will start operating at 5.30am daily.

How is it possible to find over 200 bus drivers to work over the holidays when it is impossible to find drivers to drive Cintri rubbish trucks to pick up rubbish .

Phnom Penh City Hall said that Cintri would not collect garbage from 8 to 10 due to the staff and workers of the company serving The waste cleaning and transport work in Phnom Penh has to be stopped from work, and some workers have traveled to their hometown. Provide Routine Service Providers And municipal waste transportation is spotty and incomplete.

Authorities say that asking people and business owners or waste management services at their respective locations is to maintain aesthetics, hygiene and environment. In Phnom Penh, garbage collection will return to normal on October 12.
