You've been many times to Pattaya. What do you really think about the place?

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

As any place a lot depends on the people you meet.
I got to know a bunch of expat golfers who liked a beer but weren't piss heads & meet some beautiful hookers.
It's culturally dead but i liked the variety.

Last time I went to Jomtien for a swim, the place was overrun with Russians (and long time before that West Germans).. What is it now? Lemme guess, Chinese?

Spot on, the Russians had left. Oh new property purchases in Pattaya mainly Chinese, a Chinese property agent friend of mine is making big these days.

WARNING - never touch the water at Pattaya Beach the entire sewage of Pattaya is being drained there for your information. Go to Jomtien beach instead.

all 3-4 kms of it??

went in August,maybe 100 people on the whole of Jomtien
Imagine cant say the same for sat/sunday thou

Looking at 1.7 million Russians this year
10 million +Chinese

Good thing about Chinese, I presume they are like other asians..they don't want to swim day time in the sun coz they don't want to get black.. unlike westerners who want to get black :clap:
