Drunk Teen Gets Both Legs Amputated by Train

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: A drunk 18-year-old factory worker,, Pha Rumchang, had both legs cut off after being run over by a train in Sangkat Teuk Thlar, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

Before the incident, the victim had been drinking with friends. They all got drunk, and then everyone returned to their homes except the victim, who for some reason decided to sleep on the railway line. A train came along in the night while the victim was passed out, and it drove over him, cutting off both his legs.

Despite the severity of his wounds, the victim was still alive, and an ambulance was called.
The victim was first moved off the train tracks. You can see the by-standers are all badly shocked by the gruesome accident, but nobody seems to know what to do while the victim lies there bleeding until the ambulance arrives.

The scariest thing with these incidents is that nobody seems to know basic first aid... Lift his (what is left) legs higher than his heart. Tie a rope around his wound.

That kid that died with bystanders a few weeks ago would possibly still be alive.

Atleast they didn't stream this live on Facebook. (or maybe they did)

Even the cops and guys manning the ambulances don't know basic first aid (not counting bouncing crash victims up and down, burying electrocuted people in sand, and putting buffalo shit on burns).

They need a Charlie Says series of public safety announcements or something, drum it in to people not to sleep on the tracks. At least it wasn't the other end hanging over, he's lucky to be alive.

Right. A few years ago we called an ambulance after a Japanese lady took a nasty spill during the Angkor Wat Half Marathon. The ambulance did arrive fairly quickly but did not have as much as a bandaid on board, never mind an Israeli, or any other, bandage.
