Education Ministry spots exam bribery
The Education Ministry yesterday said that candidates sitting for the teacher entrance exam should not be paying brokers in order to pass the test.

The ministry made the statement after information was circulated on social media offering candidates a guaranteed passing grade in exchange for money.

“The ministry would like to clarify that the exam process to recruit teachers at all levels will be conducted in compliance with legal principles and transparency,” the statement said, adding that candidates could potentially lose money and property if they chose to pay brokers.

The ministry said that the public should cooperate to provide further information to identify those propagating the offer.

Ministry spokesman Dy Khamboly said yesterday that the ministry has yet to receive any complaints related to the issue.
