Kampong Cham Pagoda Catches Fire During Pchum Ben
Kampong Cham, Cambodia News: On the afternoon of 28 September 2018, a fire broke out at Wat Snger, Prey Chhor district, and the fire brigade was called out. Fortunately, they were able to master the blaze before it spread, and nobody was hurt, but a lot of the paintings decorating the temple's walls and the ceiling were destroyed by smoke and water.
The fire is believed to have started accidentally, probably caused by candles and incense that were left burning unattended.
