Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: An accident occurred at 5A, Street 318 in Tuol Svay Prey I, Khan Chamkar Morn in Phnom Penh at 12:45 pm on September 28, 2018, when a Chinese woman, 41-year-old ZHNANG YANZHE, drove into a tutuk with her Range Rover.

The tuktuk was carrying six school children, three boys and three girls aged from six to ten, to the nearby Chinese school of Tuan Hoa. People say that the street was narrow, full of parked cars, and neither the woman nor the tuktuk driver wanted to give way.

The children were all slightly injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. The woman and the tuktuk driver were taken to the Chamkarmon police station for questioning.

Disgraceful! How dare a tuk tuk carrying 6 children not give way to someone of such importance, the impertinence beggars belief.

I know she's Chinese but I'd put $20 on the tuk tuk putting those kid's lives in danger by zipping around traffic/double parked cars down the wrong side of the road without any regard for who was already in the other lane.

What evidence do you have to support that scenario?

Do you know the driver?
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

You could probably bet your testicles on the fact that the tuktuk driver and the Chinese lady were both more than likely driving like complete idiotic spastics
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

This.

Hours of dashcam recording of tuk tuk drivers driving like fuckwits, and driving down that exact street daily.
