Chinese Factory Boss Assaults Workers
Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: An unidentified Chinese factory boss was detained by police after he assaulted two workers at his factory, one male and one female, at 7:10 am on September 27, 2018, in the village of Kouk Chambok, Sangkat Chom Chao 1, Khan Por Senchey.
As a result, the factory workers stopped work to protest and the police were called. The Chinese man offered to pay $500 in compensation for his action if the victims would withdraw their complaint, but the victims have said they want the case to go to court.

Re: Chinese Factory Boss Assaults Workers
so he assaults some Khmer in front of 100's of other Khmer?
one day they will stand up and gut them like fish.
i guess managers do not read history.
i am truly appalled and fearful at what is happening and the potential for chaos given historical precedent.

That is a fear worthy of sharing. The Khmer, a few druggie hotheads not withstanding, are a highly resilient albeit not docile race. Unfortunately when the shit hits the fan, the result is the same old shit everywhere. Nothing's learned, nothing's. changed.
In any case it is a grievous error to mistake their docility as willful compliance.

How about treating them right, let them have a meaningful union and a living wage. If mass productivity is a factor, mass employment may be called for.
