Girlfriend in breakfast-revolt; need recommendations

Post by Dangerous Dave »

So, I live near Smile Minimart at 63 and 184 these days, and when it's just me, the preferred destination for breakfast is Le PKA Cafe at 51 and 178.

But after weeks of simmering away like an island volcano, the GF is in open revolt now -- turns out she *hates* Le PKA Cafe. No problem ... except I have no idea where else to take her. And thus, once again, here I am on bended knee for recommendations.

Criteria:

Must be a short walk from 63 and 184, ideally not to the north because the GF works at the Prince Phnom Penh Tower.

Must offer western breakfast fare, and not suck.

Must not be too expensive. $5/p seems like a reasonable top end.

We've tried Anado, Blue Corner and Blossom -- the last of which is semi-permanently closed, anyway.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Might be easier to find a new GF rather than a new breakfast that meets your standards.

...Probably should have said, "Please skip the replies about how replacing the GF would be easier" -- seriously *considered* saying, "Please skip the replies about how replacing the GF would be easier," but alas.

Take her to a Khmer place that sells Khmer breakfast. Something like bbq pork with pickled vege and rice. It's quite nice. You'll get used to it.

What on earth are you doing with a girlfriend who doesn't cook for you?

Sorry don't know that area. You'll see places with chairs and tables on the pavement in front of shops, or inside/outside. There's bound to be one close by.
Ask her if she'd like to have that, and if she says 'yes', tell her to ask the moto dops on the corner, or the neighbors where to find them.
