It's a struggle. As a mere sweater of the action I'm rooting for the inner devil.

Re: Girlfriend in breakfast-revolt; need recommendations
OP original post was that he goes to the same restaurant all the time and that his significant other is sick of eating there. His SO is Indonesian and was delighted that he later took her to a place that served food she’s used to eating. How is that related to this idea she doesn’t cook?

Anyone who is driven to "simmering like a volcano" (unless that is referring to something else) but still eats out at places she can't stand, obviously can't cook. Further, he has not denied this.
If she can cook and can't stand eating out then stop whining and cook at home.

Have you tried the French Institute on 182? There is also a big coffee shop on the corner of there and Monivong that seem to do a range of food. Not sure there is much else around that way.

The first time I took my girl friend to eat out was at Petite France about 5 years ago. We both had Duck confit. Afterwards she remarked "you like this?" "Yes its my favourite" I replied. "OK tomorrow I make for you" she stated. I was very surprized that she would know how to make Duck confit, as it is a bit involved as it needs to be covered in salt and refrigerated for a day or so and then immersed in duck fat and cooked slowly for 2 or 3 hours. This was her attempt:
both of us cook, a couple of other dishes:
Steak in Pepper Sauce and mash.
