Sihanoukville, Cambodia News: The garbage collection company of Sihanoukville are complaining that the owner of the Jasmine Hotel in Sihanoukville has not been not paying for his garbage collection.

On September 19, 2018, a number of Sihanoukville authorities, including a representative of the Ministry of the Environment and someone from the Sihanoukville rubbish collection company KSWM, went to meet the Turkish owner of Jasmine Hotel, located near Occheuteal Beach, to discuss why the hotel garbage fees have not been paid for 9 months.

The representatives were told that the Turkish man didn't want to pay for the service because he thought it was rubbish.

They should be paying him for taking care of the area with his own money.

Why would they collect the rubbish, when he hasn't paid for 9 months ?

C'mon Jay give the guy a break, he is close to the beach and is rightfully doing what 99% of the Khmer restaurant/business owners do, wait for the rains to wash it in the sea. How many Khmer owned places were visited for not paying, I guess very few as they had never paid in the first place what a shithole. Cambodia is not just good ole Snooky. The modern vibrant city of Phnom Penh !!!!!

Further to my previous post for the people that have been in Cambodia for a few years (excluding those with wives and kids) does it still hold the fun and charm that was the reason you moved there, or are you stuck there. Serious question

There might be a mix up of two different businesses here. Jasmine Hotel located at the end of beach road just before the wall.
It's been undergoing a massive rebuild for at least half a year (might be chinese owned?).

The Jasmine Hotel was in business for years before the Yasmine Cafe opened.

Yasmine Cafe is located at the Serendipity pier and is owned by the man pictured, photo is from that location.

you r right sir, on closer examination, the 2 photos of them talking around the table looks more like yasmine resto at the pier, while the first photo was the jasmine hotel, no wonder i felt strange that i drove past jasmine hotel few months ago it was under reno, now the photo reappears with the same awful facade, grade A sleuthing drozd, grade F news reporting by CEO news
