Cool/neat spots around Phom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Cool/neat spots around Phom Penh

Post by bvanfossen »

Was hoping to find some cool spots we can share and also learn about and go check out. Of course my likes are different than yours of course.

I was surprised to see the Amazon Cafe at 183 and 430 has a beautiful big coi pond! Go there on a sunny day because the fish colors really pop!

I have heard of an orchid park or garden I want to go check out. I dont know its local I need to google it.

Safari World is pretty cool. It has tiger, monkey and bird show. It's actually on par 100% with a western animal park maybe better. Worth googling at least

Anything similar to share I'd be interested in checking it out.

Off topic but am I the only one who only just found out (through twitter) that the hunter in Jumanji is the same actor as the Dad? The hunter is supposed to reflect Alan’s fears against his father....

There's a swimming pool near the weather station that has a fish pond with some giant Amazon fish in it, the thing is bloody huge! Can't remember the name of the place off the top of my head right now though sorry.
