Englishman CHARLIE MCLAUGHLIN Fights for His Life in Calmette Hospital; Family in Macclesfield Try to Save Him

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

He's right, white Australians are a dying breed. They get looked down on just because they are drinking beer at 8 in the morning. All the jobs are being taken by Mullahs and Afghanistani suicide bombers who work for 10 bob less a day.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Family says he has travel insurance, but since he's unconscious he's unable to provide the details of it to anyone
This was always a concern for me, (especially living in Myanmar and regularly riding a motorbike off-road),- that if I had an accident and were unconscious, no-one could find my 5-star medical insurance details. I recall an expat in Pattaya who died after an car accident because no-one knew that he had 5-star medical cover and dropped him into the local government hospital...

I ordered a cutomised 'dog-tag' that I wear round my neck, engraved with details of my insurance policy, next of kin contact details etc.

My passport and the windshield of my motorbike have a waterproof sticker with the same details (including helpful images for those who can't understand simple English).
