But can one order snake and turtle soup there as well?
If the locals start viewing reptiles as pets, then what’s next? No more fried crickets?

isn't there also "zoo cafe" on 432's - got monkeys and rabbits etc running around while you sip a coffee. Keep meaning to take the nephews. Anyone been?

Re: Reptile Cafe in Phnom Penh - Having Tea with a Snake
I was at the reptile cafe at the weekend. It was pretty full, but there was one small table. There was a wall of tanks down one side with some lizards/ snakes/ tarantula and a cage with a red and blue Macaw, and some cages with iguanas, one huge one, outside. While the animals were interesting the place wasn't very welcoming and the drinks (the ones they actually had) were not up to much. We didn't stay long, maybe worth a visit on a quieter day.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Yes we went and I give it a thumbs up. Vanilla iced latte was good but I thought pricey at $2.50. They had 2 pug pups and both were sick.angkorjohn wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 11:33 amDid you get there in the end? The racoon was sleeping and the fox was mia. the marmoset monkey room was the highlight for me. We were able to stay with them as long as we wanted, there are two of them.
Warning: if you go be prepared for the monkeys to pee on your shoulders. You will not feel it nor hear them piss, but they will. They run up and down your body but like to perch on your shoulders. Yes i felt like cptn Jack Sparrow

So they have one (non-local) snake, and an iguana) TWO reptiles.
Impressive. Oh, and the tortoise.
Sounds like an average day at Candy Bar sans the suicides.

Saw this on straitstimes[dot]com a few days back... Gonna bring my son there to see how he responds. As long the snakes are venomoids, it seems like fun.
