Welcome back to Pattaya (Stickman Bangkok Blog)

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Welcome back to Pattaya (Stickman Bangkok Blog)

Post by phuketrichard »

:beer3:
She leans over and kisses her partner, one of those long, lingering kisses shared between those truly in love. She backs away a little and they gaze in to each other’s eyes. And then they are at it again, their lips locked together. The two pretty, Chinese, 20-somethings draw plenty of attention – such intimacy in public is not common in Thailand. I’m at the Pattaya Bus Station waiting for the 9:00 AM bus back to Bangkok and the lesbian lovebirds are distracting me as I reflect on my first visit to Pattaya in 18 months
To me Pattaya means freedom, not so much the freedom to do anything you please, but the freedom to go about your day without others judging you. I love it for the freedom of being able to roam, to explore hidden sois, and to go up dark staircases and through poorly lit doorways if I so chose, confident that wherever I end up it won’t be a problem. And I love Pattaya for the photographic opportunities, and the comings and goings you just don’t see anywhere else.

I like Pattaya in small doses. To me, visiting Pattaya is kind of like eating a large tub of Haagen Dazs – Belgian chocolate flavour, of course – in one sitting. It’s good at the time but almost immediately afterwards you find yourself regretting it. Probably not that different from shagging a really fat chick, I guess. 2 or 3 days in Pattaya is enough for me.

A few weeks ago we passed thru Pattaya and one of the things we love is the show at Angela witch

Sadly ...no more, seems they got in trouble with the Police
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Really sad man. Some of the shows are pretty good. I remember a fat "lady" flying here and there on ropes.

Pattaya's Angel Witch used to be a good hour of entertainment, with a couple of lady drinks thrown in.

I didn't see this thread until now. It was a pleasure reading Stick again with his perspective on Pattaya. Unlike many others who have tried to describe the funk that today's Pattaya is in, Stick pretty much gets it. Looks the same but is very different on the inside. I agree LK Metro is, IMO, the only place worth going to. Much fun, eh @Jamie_Lambo . Speaking of which, when is your next appearance?
