Khmer hair stylists are highly influenced by the 'boot camp butchers aesthetics. First all sideburns are completely removed. Next a noticeable a swath of hair is removed from around the ears until they resemble a pair of whitewall tires. So they do western style haircuts if you like the military look.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

For those of us who would rather pay $2 than $5, there is a good place on Pasteur (st. 51) between 228 and 240. Has aircon and is similar to Tokyo but without the srey saat. I believe it is called Pasteur Barber.

Tokyo barber shop is a great place. Not been there for ages but the manager, Sothy (she might have moved to Australia) was always funny and enjoyed naughty jokes. Great at upselling also.

You go in for a haircut and come out an hour later having your whole body done.

Nowadays I go to The barber shop at 456. But they don't speak English so have a photo of your hair style ready if you don't speak khmer.

Tokyo it is, I will try it next.

I did not mean to imply that I did not want a local to cut my hair.
