Random Cambodian photos

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I wonder what made the woman decide to have all of her hair cut off
She's old so she could be becoming a Daun Chi, the shaved-head elderly ladies in white who work around pagodas or shrines. Women usually only take this role after the death of their husband or divorce, or sometimes through extreme poverty. I don't believe it's poverty in this case as the woman appears well-dressed.

Jamie;
with a phone camera you can take pictures
with a SLR/ DSLR you can make photographs
hope you understand the difference.

So a photograph is a digital image captured through a lens. What do phones do?

What do phones do? Well their biggest advantage is they can fit in your pocket, amongst other things, but IMO they will never compete against a proper camera,

its all about how the photographer can control what the photograph result is using a slr/dslr with changing, amongst others,
iso, f stop, speed, lens etc etc
