Ministries pray to attract religious tourism
26 August 2018
The Tourism Ministry last week announced it will work with the Cults and Religion Ministry to promote religious tourism in the country.

The announcement was made after ministry officials held a meeting at the Tourism Ministry in Phnom Penh.

Tith Chantha, a Tourism Ministry secretary of state, on Wednesday said each ministry has been tasked with conducting their own feasibility studies to be submitted by the end of the year.

Mr Chantha said that pagodas around the country are expected to take part in luring tourists in order to boost the country’s religious and tourism industries.

“We are preparing and selecting pagodas with history to attract the tourists,” he said. “We could begin the process next year, and it will promote both religion and tourism.”

Then, on realizing the significance of that, the Blessed One on that occasion exclaimed: [The Buddha ព្រះមានព្រះភាគ to King Pasenadi ព្រះបាទបសេនទិកោសល]

One should not make an effort everywhere,
should not be another's hireling,
should not live dependent on another,
should not go about
as a trader in the Dhamma.

Simply having such thoughts will be of long, long demerit and suffering for the thinker and those bond to him, not to speak if such is brought to speech and actions... It's good to warn people to do not harm themselves with unwise actions, caught in greed, aversion and delusion.

And thinking on the destruction of many merits, since monasteries had actually be given to the Sangha, real grave thievery frim the Juwels is not far. One whould not have the merits to endure the results of such leading many upwardly.
