Suddenly remembered today is 15th day of Seventh Moon, bad day

At boarding gate now about to board suddenly remembered today is 15th day of Seventh Moon Hungry Ghost Month, people say today is the most dirty day where evil at its most powerful and if people not careful can get into serious trouble. Also people avoid travelling and last night suddenly planned for this trip without realizing today could be a bad day.

Very hesitant to board this flight. What shall I do?

This is Asia. Any day on any calendar can portend great evil. In fact much evil is unpredictable. So do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Maybe leave some culinary delights in whatever class eatery you choose to visit for the hungry ghosts. (After you have safely landed at your destination.) I.seriously doubt airline food offers much protection. And now I know why I've been hearing fireworks all day.

Multiple businesses closed for the occasion and others polluted the air by burning paper cars. Can’t complain about the BBQ pig and beer I had the chance to enjoy.

I walked past one group that was burning fake Thai money. Maybe the bad ghosts are Thai
