The ice epidemic

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

The ice epidemic

Post by Artful Dodger »

The use of ice around the world is through the roof. In impoverished countries like Cambodia it is so woeful. It is is destroying lives. Destroying their families.

I am saddened to drop into GSM to have a few drinks with some buddies... Some of which say they like ice addicted girls for cheap sex. What a curse on humanity is this drug.
Water quenches the thirst, alcohol releases the truth.

Haven't noticed.

I mean, sure there's the add mangled tweaking mess, but they would be on something else were it not ice.

It is pervert powder alright, not it's worst quality.

Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

You'll probably find that the real problem is poverty. That is the curse on humanity.

It's pretty common for poor people to drug themselves using whatever substance, be it Alcohol ice or whatever.

Try and understand what motivates people to be the way they are rather than sounding like a misguided preacher. .. :chin:

You can take that to the bank as both drugs target the same brain receptor.

When the 16 year old tweaker freshy boy snatches your phone out your hand, or your helmet off your parked moto, to make a few bucks, you may rethink that position.

Kampot's Problem is not isolated to ICE.

Looking at Barang's openly roll their joint and..... smoking it in Restaurants full of Foreigners is a clear sign that something is very wrong in Kampot. The same is true for the total ignorance of allmost all westerners regarding the NO SMOKING Ban in Cambodia's Restaurants and Bars. Nobody gives a shit aslong as the police does not turn up and fine them. Even than i believe they would simpley light up again after the cops are gone. The same Barangs however complain about Human Rights in Cambodia and how ignorant Khmer are to Enviroment Problems while most Expats i know simply burn their plastic trash (causing toxic Dioxin in the process) right outside their compound. Hypcrisy ?

There is a simple solution for the drug problem. Either send the addicts to the Philippines or get Duterte as a national narcotics advisor. Problem solved !
