Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht
In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

Re: 4th Burger King opening soon
In the States at the moment the lasted trend is for a pizza burger.
For fucks sake, clearly being obese just wasn't enough to them.

it depends, technically pizza is not a fat food.Garry.Crabtree wrote:In the States at the moment the lasted trend is for a pizza burger.

let's say 250gr of dough, tomato sauce, salt, origano, and soft cheese.
how bad can that be for your body ? not much i would say, no more than a cheese & ham sandwich at least.
unfortunately for whatever reason they start adding any kind on shit on it, lots of oil, pork fat, butter, chemicals.
and yet it's still maybe 300-350gr of food so where's the link with obesity unless you eat pizza every day for months or years ?
say for junk food, it's OK ... i don't buy the BS about people getting obese because of the odd burger here and there.
it's how much they eat that makes the difference.
one pizza is no problem, but eating two pizza at once with one litre of coke and a cup of ice cream is a different story.
sometimes i see people eating 3-4 burgers in fast food with double fries too, i look and i think they're waiting somebody but no, it's their lunch.
i think the worst is all these deep-fried foods we see here in asia, cooked in the worst cheapest coconut oil.
THAT's shit.

Sorry for the delay responding, I forgot where I posted this and had to find it via a search.StroppyChops wrote:Slightly smaller one, about 12kg. The 15's don't fit under some benches so in some instances the smaller one is required.Joker Poker wrote:Strop, what size gas bottle you talking about there? Are you talking about the green ones that are about knee high, I think they are 15kg? If so, can you PM or plug the agent please?
Paid about $13 for a refill about 4 months ago, delivered, just called the number on the bottle. I'll have a look and see if I can find the business card as the current bottle doesn't have a business sticker on it. Great service, they were around in 15 minutes, discovered I'd asked for the wrong bottle, went away and came back with the right one about 10 minutes later.
Asked a bong on the back of a gas supply truck what a 15kg bottle was going to cost me, he said 'buan dop dollar' and nodded happily when I held up 4 fingers.
Is your experience different?
Just got ours replaced today, same price as last time - $20 for a 15kg bottle. So you are paying 1.08 per kg and I just paid 1.33 - DOH!
If you've had a recent refill it would be good to hear what you've paid and for what size cylinder.

Re: 4th Burger King opening soon
I'll report back in the next few days, have to buy a bottle outright but will ask about the refill price at the same time.

a store on national road 6 (in SR), going down NOT direction airport, on the left side then, has professional ovens and cooking equipment (all stainless steel, very wide, cool really).PSD-Kiwi wrote:I recently bought a brand new gas oven (with rotisserie) with 4 gas burner stove top for $130. Can't remember the name of the place sorry, got the biz card at home but I'm overseas, ask around the tuk-tuks and motodops, they know where the gas shops are that sell ovens. Not the greatest oven, but it suits my requirements at the moment, plus I don't wanna spend big bucks on an oven when I'm only renting atm.potty wrote:how much is such a gas oven with stove here ?
cant be expensive, no much technology behind - cmpared to an electric one.
and where to buy it?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, managed to get them to include a brand new 15L gas bottle (filled) for $20 instead of the $50 they originally wanted to charge...bonus! The oven also came with a 12 mth warranty.
the white ones, two they had, looking like household equipment, normal wide, were $400 - $430.
find this extraordinarily expensive, as there is really no technology inside or anything special.
its a piece of metal, basically. all "mechanics".

re gas bottles. are there any news on the price?
in SR, the best offer including delivery was $19 (replacement/"refill") - for the 15kg.
and i found absolutely NO way, to get it any cheaper - anywhere (i checked).
particularly asked for the price the khmer people would pay and was told, they paid the same.
the previous tenant purchased the one for $15, i was told. but really, cant have been around here. i really tried.
the smaller ones than 15kg, not sure how much in it, were $17.50 replacement, incl delivery.

Re: 4th Burger King opening soon
I haven't bought that bottle yet but I've asked a couple of sellers what the 15kg refill costs - all are saying $20. Our last bottle (previous apartment) was definitely smaller to fit under the bench. Sorry to have gotten hopes up.
