Replacement for Video DownloadHelper ?

Replacement for Video DownloadHelper ?

Seems that the DownloadHelper plugin wants us to pay to download videos from Youtube now. Totally outrageous.

Anyone like to suggest an alternative browser plugin for downloading YT vidz?

Download and install Linux Mint Mate.

Then install youtube-dl.

It is all free.

There are tutorials on the internet for anything you dont know how to do.

Linux Mint has over 20,000 free apps.

In Firefox go to Options > add-ons and use the search option, there are 2,771 YouTube downloaders.
There are people who cannot imagine that there are other ways of life than their own life. :facepalm:

Not yet, I used one, but Firefox blocked it today, due security reasons.
So, I have to find an other one for my self.

this is currently the best one i use (actually ill PM it, anyone else welcome to a PM too)
previous ones ive used have started to struggle downloading certain links as YouTube seem to be able to copyright block links from being downloaded if copying from the original source of the YouTube video and some others,
ive had no problems with this one, gives you all the options to change the song title/album name/cover, edit video length etc

It's not a firefox plugin, but I just put "ss" in the url before YouTube and it seems to work just fine for me.
