So, if the hymen's not intact, can you get your money back?

What happened was far better than anticipated.
A policeman friend of the applicant went to the Sangkat on her behalf.
She had the Certificae later the same day for $55 ..........plus $5 for a cup of coffee and a pair of shoes from Australia for her policeman friend if she ever gets there.
There were reasons that could have delayed the issue of this Certificate indefinitely......but fortunately luck or Karma has been kind.
Do they still make shoes in Australia ?
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

MoJ are really strict about the Certificate of Residence been no older than 3 months when applying for police check.

Yes Kiwi, $55 is way more than the official price......but the fact that the applicant had been married to a European many years ago and she doesn’t know if the wedding was registered, and since then has had a baby (now 5) to another European boyfriend who abandoned her before the baby was born...the issue of a certificate of celibacy or single status was always going to be problematic.
She had already been told by an official that it was impossible.
So I don’t begrudge the copper the $55, a decent looking young bloke from the photo she sent to me, showing off the sort of shoes he wanted.
