Prey Veng province: A man was detained at 7 am on February 23, 2014 for the exhumation of a corpse.

This rare event took place in Beng village, Prey Pune commune, Kampong Trabek district.

According to the Koh Santepheap correspondent, the 17-year-old virgin, who lives in the upper village, died of leukemia. The body was given buddhist ceremomies on February 20, 2014 and will be buried at 4:20 pm on February 22.

At the end of the festival for the deceased, at 10 pm on February 22, 46-year-old Chin, who lives in Beng village, Prey Pong commune, Kampong Trabek district, a known drug addict, got drunk at the festival, and went to the grave, dug up the dead woman and pulled the coffin and the lid off. He then tried to rape the dead victim but the narrow coffin made it difficult to perform any sexual assault and in the end, he slept with the corpse.

At 6 am on February 23, 2014, the father of the corpse also went to look at the tomb and saw the tomb was exhumed and looked at the coffin, where he saw the legs of a man.
The suspect escaped but was taken to the house after receiving a complaint from the family of the deceased girl and he is currently being detained at the Prey Por commune administrative office awaiting trial.
