Re: Chroy Changvar Bridge Continues to Attract Suicides
Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: The Chroy Changvar bridge claimed another victim earlier today (2 March), after a 22-year-old man got drunk and had a fight with his brothers in Russey Keo district on 1 March 2019. The young tuktuk driver was reportedly upset after a family quarrel where he was blamed, and he decided to end his days by jumping from the Chroy Changvar bridge.
The man's body was picked up this morning and was sent to the Tuol Sangke pagoda for last rites. RIP.

Re: Chroy Changvar Bridge Continues to Attract Suicides
Excellent article on the Cham fishermen, the heroes who save lives and recover bodies under the Chroy Changvar bridge.

The Chroy Changvar bridge ‘Angel’ stopping suicides
Originally built in 1963 with Japanese aid, the Chroy Changvar Bridge, also known as the Cambodian-Japanese Friendship Bridge, collapsed in 1972 due to an attack by Viet Cong suicide bombers. It remained closed until it reopened in February 1994. The bridge later underwent renovations to ease traffic flow and on April 3, it was officially reopened again. But the 709-metre bridge that crosses the Tonle Sap River in Phnom Penh has a dark side to it, too. It’s the site of suicides, where people take their own lives by jumping off the bridge. Meanwhile, one fisherman, who lives near the bridge, has been trying to prevent these suicides – often risking his own life. Taing Rinith meets this unsung hero.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Re: Chroy Changvar Bridge Continues to Attract Suicides
Suicide barrier should be installed to make the action more challenging, it might discourage some and give other people extra response time to pull them back to life
