Cambodians I met call this 'plae passion.'

Plae is the word for fruit in Khmer.

So they use the English name.

I've only had it a few times but I think banana passionfruit is great - doesn't have the acidic after effect of normal passionfruit. I imagine it would make an incredible sticky sweet wine.

Not so much '' sticky '' but the wine I made was more of a liqueur and was great poured over a home made icecream .
