I hope they include a mention of the true hero and first person to conquer Mt Everest Sir Edmond Hillary.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Re: CNN to broadcast three-part Everest documentary
Us Kiwis know all about Sir Ed but for many years we were not allowed to know what he said after returning to base camp. He said “ We knocked the bastard off”. My old man was an adventurer and had so many books about climbing and exploration. He had a book about Hillary going to the South Pole with modified Fergusson tractors and another expedition with Hamilton jets doing the Ganges from top to bottom. One of the best climbing books of all time was Annapurna. A British expedition back in the day who did it really tough.

Re: CNN to broadcast three-part Everest documentary
way back, 1988, i went with a group of locals tour agents/guides and HK Chinese and brought at least a ton of garbage down from Everest BCbolueeleh wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 12:03 pm saw one article stating that since they start the program of paying climbers to take down garbage, tonnes hv been brought down n its nearly cleared, saw another article stating that there still tonnes of garbage up there, WTF? high altitude sickness journalism?
NOW: back in 2014
https://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/04/worl ... rbage.htmlHoping to clean a trash-strewn pathway to the world’s highest peak, Nepal’s tourism authority declared Monday that those climbing Mount Everest must return from the trip with an extra 18 pounds of garbage.
Since 2014, climbers have been fined if they don't bring enough rubbish back with them after scaling the peak.
I'd say the 1922 and 24 British expeditions are also noteworthy and the mystery of George Mallory and Andrew "Sandy" Irvinethe true hero and first person to conquer Mt Everest Sir Edmond Hillary.
Did they summit??
