Big rain last night!
Breezed into Koi coffee yesterday after an afternoon at Calmette. While enjoying a milk tea, the heavens opened up. Heavy rain, winds, the whole bit. Windows at Koi leaked, and it turned into a multi hour , 3 tea ordeal. During the first downpour, the street flooding started. Water got up to knee high on the street, saw more than a few motos stall. Had crazy expats bicycle through, and a some old lady push a good cart through. The water just grew. Covered the street, covered the sidewalk. Only receded after a few hours. Interestingly, the locals take off their flip flops during heavy rain and walk barefoot in the water.
If street flooding is this bad after only an afternoon rain, what’s going to happen during rainy season?

Must have been very local storm as we had almost no rain in Takhmau, just 12 km from PP.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Re: Big rain last night!
There was a heavy rain around midday and then a huge storm around 3.00.
That's because flip flops can easily float off in floods.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 10:41 am Interestingly, the locals take off their flip flops during heavy rain and walk barefoot in the water.
It is the rainy season, and that was particularly heavy rain.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 10:41 am
