Phnom Penh or Pattaya would be much better choices.

Khmer beer gardens and KTVs can still be found in SNV but they are more geared toward East asian/ Khmer clientelle.
You really wouldnt fit in there as a lone barang tourist unless you bring a host or have local language skills to get local prices.
Just goto Pattaya or Phnom phen like FLB sayed and skip the headache.

Agree. Place is fucked. I left a few weeks ago after 8 years. You might find some of the reputed imported Chinese hookers if your Mandarin is up to snuff but it's doubtful they are looking for non-Chinese customers. Now it depends on which is more important. Girls (at least for sheer quantity) - Pattaya

It's bad. I came back yesterday after 3 nights in Sihanoukville, I'd heard all the stories, seen all the posts about the Chinese 'take over' but it's worse than I had expected. End of an era!

Going to SHV these days for drinking and girls is a WOFTAM IMHO.
Still, you will catch the last week or so of the square.
Not many places left to stay, few Barang places left to drink, eating choices greatly reduced. Great for Poker though.
