Sihanoukville welcomes new development
Sky Mountain View Investment began construction this week in Sihanoukville of a $109 million project consisting of a commercial building and hotel.

The Sky Mountain Business Centre and Sky Mountain View Hotel will be raised in three stages, Keo Maly, representative of the company, said during the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday.

In phase one, $12.33 million will be spent to raise the 12-floor commercial building. The hotel will be built during phase two. The building, consisting of 25 floors, will cost $15 million. In the final stage of the project, two more buildings will be raised at a cost of $81.6 million, each with 33 floors. The company did not provide further details on the buildings in phase three.

“The commercial building and Sky Mountain View Hotel will help boost the economy and create well-paying jobs for the local people,” Ms Maly said.

Anyone know where this is being constructed ? It will be massive - two 33 storey towers, one 25 storey hotel, and a 12 storey commercial block.

Yeah,that's one worry. Not to mention frequent power outages and elevator maintenance. And seriously, there is not enough power right now to keep the whole town supplied 24/7, so where is this extra electricity going to come from ?
You wouldn't catch me dead in a SHV elevator.
