just watched it, its entertaining enough, felt like it needed some more plot or story line/character building instead of 90% fight scenes though lol

Good movie, except they overdid the fighting scenes, way too much fighting without focusing on character background.

It's definitely a step up for Cambodia but falls short in many places

The subtitles. Like seriously, wtf? They seriously screwed these up with parts where English was spoken but not matching the subtitles, and lots of the Khmer to subtitles being wrong too (according to my better half). Then you have Tharoth Sam who cannot speak English in the first half of the film, suddenly managing to find time to learn some half way through!

The plot itself was pretty weak too, and concentrated too much on fight scenes imo.

But overall, entertaining enough, and will hopefully see the next few films coming out of Cambodia building on what Jailbreak has achieved. 2.5 stars out of 5.

I'm now waiting for 'The Riel Thing' to be made. ;)

I liked it how the cast all speaks different languages, it's representative of cambodian society. The fighting scene were cool enough though, did I expect anything else ? Nope, so I enjoyed the movie 8-)

I'm fan of Celine Tran (for some obvious reason  ) but why did they make her speak Khmer ???

And yes, the english subtitle is quite off what the characters are saying.
